Cast iron cookware every foodie craves

Globe and Mail Update

Copper pots are so last year: At the moment, true foodies are craving cast iron, especially Staub’s heavy-duty cocottes, the go-to covered casseroles among professional cooks. The inside of each lid features Staub’s signature spikes, which facilitate self-basting by distributing juices throughout cooking. The round cocottes in matte black with heat-resistant solid brass knobs are classic, but poppier colours (orange, cherry, eggplant) are also available. Those have stainless steel knobs.

This 28-centimetre round cocotte costs $350. Contact sales@jahenckels.ca for the nearest retailer.
