Mocine 2011, Italy Add to ...

  • Rating 90
  • Year 2011
  • Region Tuscany
  • Varietal Red blend
  • Price $19.95

An unusual Tuscan blend, in which the region’s top red grape, sangiovese, is joined by little-known foglia tonda and barsaglina, the Mocine is bright and bouncy, with candy-store berry fruit and vanilla attractively answered by a pronounced mineral-earth essence and hints of coffee and chocolate. Drink it now or cellar for up to seven years. Available in Ontario.
