Nicely done once again for Fontodi, a terrific Chianti Classico producer. This 2010 is medium-full-bodied, with good concentration showing plum jam and violet, a dusting of cocoa and faint waft of horse stable. It’s bone dry with chalky tannins. Good now, it should improve for up to 10 years in the cellar. Imported in Alberta by Vendemmia International. The equally excellent 2009 vintage is still available in British Columbia for $33.97 and in Quebec for $27.75.
