It's dark for a red ale, somewhere between red and brown, delivering medium-bodied roundness with a sweet, malty core. Lots to admire: dates, roasted nuts, milk chocolate and a biscuit/bread quality firmed up by subtle hoppy bitterness. Well-balanced and easy to drink.
