“Gold” is a suitable catch-all. There are four grapes in this blend: pinot gris, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and gewürztraminer. In an effort to hit as many flavour notes as possible, producers of late have flooded the market with so-called aromatic blends that are subtly sweet but technically dry.
