From Don Quixote's stomping ground of La Mancha comes a big and powerful red, weighing in at 15-per-cent alcohol. There is, predictably, a brandy-like, almost medicinal start to the show, but it subsides as the big, seriously ripe fruit gallops in. Concentrated dark berry, leather, coffee and chocolate characters cling to sticky tannins. Available in Ontario.
