Made from saperavi, Georgia's leading red grape, this is bone-dry, with dusty tannins and an earthy quality beneath layers of plum and cherry, finishing with a saline tang and a woody note of Caucasian oak (from which the barrels were crafted). Think of Spanish tempranillo crossed with Italian sangiovese and you begin to get a picture. Available in Ontario.
