It's "pure" because it sees no oak-barrel maturation, displaying Argentina's signature malbec grape in its unadulterated state. Full-bodied, juicy and gutsy, this red is redolent of blackberry jam lightly dusted with lively black pepper, with no vanilla-like oakiness in sight. Ripe, gently sticky tannins provide structure as well as counterbalance to the mouth-watering fruitiness. Available in Ontario.
