Earlier this week, the CMAJ urged the Canadian government to crack down on energy drinks, insisting the beverages - some with more than five times the caffeine than a can of cola - pose real health risks, especially to kids.

Do the recent warnings alarm you?

Should they be banned - in our schools, in bars, grocery stores or altogether? Or, like most things, are they okay in moderation? Is it up to the government or parents to control kids' consumption of energy drinks?

At 10 a.m., join The Globe's Carly Weeks (who reported on the critical editorial), Ivor Tossell (who tackled the issue of government vs. parental responsibility) and Dr. Paul Hébert, the editor-in-chief of the Canadian Medical Association Journal, as they discuss energy drinks, their dangers, and what we should do to curb their effects.
