A man who posted an ad for an H1N1 vaccine on usedvictoria.com turned himself into Victoria police, admitting that the post was a hoax.
In the ad, the prankster claimed to be a nurse with a vial of H1N1 vaccine to sell.
Victoria Police's Major Crime Detectives investigated the post after receiving a complaint from the Vancouver Island Health Authority.
Police say the man, who is not a nurse, is co-operating with police, and is remorseful about the prank.
They are not recommending any charges.
