Dr. Joti Samra is a clinical psychologist and organizational & media consultant. She is an innovator in the area of psychological health and wellness, and develops strategies for coping with life’s most common and difficult challenges, reaching beyond the clinic and classroom to spread coping tools as widely as possible. In her role as principal developer, Dr. Samra has created a number of evidence-based resources for individuals and organizations in the areas of depression, suicidality, chronic health conditions, emotional intelligence, and workplace psychological health and safety.

Dr. Samra presents her work extensively at the invitation of public and private sector organizations across North America.

She has appeared as a featured clinical expert in all 3 seasons of the Animal Planet series Confessions: Animal Hoarding, developed by the producers of the critically acclaimed A & E series Intervention. She is a host and financial expert in Million Dollar Neighbourhood, a new 10 part docu-reality series that premiered on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network (Canada) on January 22, 2012. Dr. Samra is also the psychological consultant to CITY-TV’s The Bachelor Canada.

Dr. Samra is Past-President of the British Columbia Psychological Association and Chair of the BC Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards Committee. She is a recipient of the Canadian Psychological Association’s New Researcher Award (2002) and the British Columbia Psychological Association’s Advancement of the Profession of Psychology Award (2011).
