Naughty or nice? Your thoughts on sex at your parents' home Add to ...

Last week, Globe sex columnist Amberly McAteer answered a reader question about having sex in your childhood bedroom when visiting parents during the holidays. Reactions were quick, witty and gave us a big, jolly holiday chuckle. We thought we'd share a few of our favourites:

Jay Anderson  After 30 years of marriage my wife and I have never mastered the art of doing it quietly, so we'd never try it at someone else's home. Our daughter came home once unexpectedly and caught us in flagrante delicto. I think she was impressed, although grossed out.

TheUsualCanadian  Guilty as charged – been there done that. Having said that, years have pass and quite frankly now we both are quite tired and at the end of the day, which was more like a marathon of a journey, all we manage to do is some cuddling. C'est la vie!

A Reader Like You  Good grief – you're still guests in your parents' home. Can't you keep your pj's on or pants up for one day out of 365?!

one-eighty  I've experienced this from both ends. Trying to keep the noise down and the sheets clean as newlyweds, and telling my daughter not to do it after listening to a particularly exuberant session just down the hall.

OutwestAlberta As a parent, unless my child and their friend are married, they are not even sleeping together under our roof.

Western woods I have sex at home. When I am staying at a friend or relative's house, they invariably say "make yourself at home." I leave the obvious consequence to the reader.
