The question

I have a ton of fashion and decor magazines cluttering up my living room. Can I store them attractively or is the only solution to hide them away?

The answer

There are a number of ways to store and in fact display magazines. The simplest is to just pile up issues of the same periodical (or different magazines of similar sizes) and stack them spine side out on bookshelves or in the lower cubbies of coffee tables.

You can also collect them neatly in handsome leather or cardboard containers (I like to use at least three of these on shelves or atop consoles.) And there are gorgeous magazine racks on which you can hang or drape the publications.

Sadly, there will probably come a time when you will need to throw them out or donate them to a thrift store; I had hundreds of old Architectural Digest issues that I moved from place to place but finally had to part with when the collection became overwhelming!
