LISTING AGENT Boris Kholodov, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd., Johnston and Daniel Division
The Action: In a high-rise residence across the street from College Park, this two-bedroom penthouse had 20 interested parties venture through its doors over two weeks. The mid-$600,000 price was right for one set of buyers, so a deal was struck for the full amount.
What They Got: In 2007, this 953-square-foot corner suite on the 30th floor of the Penrose building was redesigned by renowned designer Timothy Mather with upscale appointments, such as classic wainscotting, stone floors and pot lights everywhere from the open living and dining area to a master suite with a balcony and one of two full bathrooms.
This southwest corner unit also provides stainless steel appliances and laundry machines, plus a locker and parking.
Monthly fees of $700 cover utilities and operation of a gym, pool, track, party and recreation rooms.
The Agent’s Take: “There was another unit in this building in the same price range at the time, however, this one – even though it was smaller – was more attractive due to the level of renovations and placement on a higher floor,” says agent Boris Kholodov. “For Toronto, marble flooring throughout an apartment is not very common, but many people really liked it.”
The highrise is also considered a reliable address. “It’s an older building, so it’s more established financially than younger buildings in the area, and the quality of construction is quite good,” Mr. Kholodov adds.
