The Action: The sellers of this renovated, semi-detached house in Bloor West Village wanted a quick sale, so it was priced in the mid-$500,000s. Within days, there were more than 50 showings for the century-old space and competing bids registered before the scheduled offer date.

The attention to detail was a telltale sign this was a designer’s home. “The open-concept kitchen was very nice, there were polished concrete floors in the basement, which gave it a cool loft-like feel, and it had a really charming backyard with an ivy-covered shed,” adds Mr. Denham.
