The Action: Canmore's real estate market often moves at a relaxed pace, with many properties taking between 50 and 100 days to sell, generally as recreational retreats for Calgarians, just an hour's drive east. But the sales process was much faster for this builder's own custom home near the town's main street and trail system along the Bow River.

"There were several lavish, custom touches found throughout the home … that helped capture the essence of what often can be found in a luxury Canmore property, as well as numerous high-efficiency items built in that also helped keep this home up to date with the latest in green trends."
The outdoor setting was notably serene. "It has a nice, big backyard, but a private and quiet backyard," Mr. Betts notes.
