The Action: Because the furniture was so much a part of the look of this ultra-contemporary loft, the buyers paid $15,000 more than the asking price for the one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit. It wasn't a bad deal for the Taiwanese purchaser, considering the Inform furniture in the suite is valued at $27,000, says listing agent Paul Albrighton.

What They Got: The nearly new, 793-square-foot unit on the 23rd floor has a relatively low monthly fee of $283. The unit has a den and flex room, and is big enough for a second bedroom.

The kitchen is outfitted with a Liebherr fridge, Miele appliances, stone-surface counter tops and an under-mounted sink. The unit is located in downtown Vancouver with mountain views and includes air conditioning, an amenities centre and a concierge.

The Agent's Take: "The majority of the showing activity was between mid-April until the sale date on May 29," Mr. Albrighton said. "My other listings had a similar trend, where the market seemed to become busier toward the end of April." Sales have picked up significantly since mid-May, he says.
