The Action: There was only one offer on the property, which sold for the asking price.
It was purchased by a couple that live downtown and they were tired of the pace.
"They wanted more of a community, and a building that has great amenities and a good appreciation in value potential."
The unit attracted the attention of mostly couples in their mid-30s, looking for a first home or a condo with two bedrooms.
What They Got: The 46-unit, low-density concrete building at West 6th and Fir Ave. was completed in November last year.
Built by Westbank – same developer of the Woodward's Building and upcoming Telus Gardens – the project features only three to four condos per floor.
"The exclusivity of living in such a low-density building is not very common in Vancouver," says listing agent Ben Amzaleg.
The new two-bedroom, two-bathroom corner unit came with air conditioning, Miele appliances, marble countertops and bamboo flooring.
The building features a yoga studio on the ground floor, and purchasers received two unlimited yoga passes.
The Agent's Take: "South Granville has a shortage of newer units," Amzaleg says. "The majority of the buildings are 10 years or older.
"Also, we are starting to see more pressure on the two- and three-bedroom market in the last few months."
