The Action: Given the option of private showings and open houses, about 60 buyers walked through the doors of this semi-detached house in North York in just a few days. Six shoppers returned on the offer date to present a bid.
What They Got: To bring this more than 40-year-old property up to date, the roof, windows, wiring, heating and cooling systems were replaced, the kitchen and three bathrooms were refinished, and the 30- by 121-foot grounds were landscaped with gardens, walkways and a patio off the living room.

The Agent’s Take: “The sellers had basically done everything that a homeowner would need to do, so it was virtually turnkey,” says agent Anil Khera. “It’s a good-sized house with four bedrooms upstairs, two full washrooms – including a master with an ensuite – and a good-sized living room, dining room and den.”
Outdoor assets were also treasured. “It has great landscaping and a nice built-in garage, which is good for storage,” says Mr. Khera. “The neighbourhood is very safe, very quiet and close to lots of shopping and easy access to transit.”
