The Action: Given the size of the Kilgour Estates community, there were a handful of suites that buyers could purchase this summer. Although there were three similar suites to this corner penthouse, it was subject to 20 showings before an offer was presented.
What They Got: Over several years, the Daniels Corp. redeveloped an area south of Burke Brook Ravine and Sunnybrook Hospital with low-rise homes and two mid-rises with luxury suites, such as this 2,968-square-foot model created by combining two units on the seventh floor.

Ceiling treatments add a sense of tradition to the dining area, fireside living and family rooms. Supporting elements include a double locker and four-car parking, plus monthly dues of $1,759 for amenities like a saltwater pool.
The Agent’s Take: “There aren’t a lot of buildings in that neighbourhood, so it appeals to people living in Lawrence Park or Leaside looking to move from their home into a condo lifestyle,” agent Sue Mills said.
“What’s really hard to find in a condominium is a combination of three bedrooms plus a family room, plus an office, so this gave lots of functional space.”
This penthouse also has rare outdoor assets, including ample parking. “The original owner of the suite was a collector of cars,” said Ms. Mills, adding that it’s hard to find more than two parking spaces.
“In addition, it had southwest exposure, which is extremely prime, and it has a wraparound terrace … with walkouts from virtually every room.”
