DAYS ON THE MARKET Three

LISTING AGENT Cathy Methven, Sutton Group Old Mill Realty Inc.

The Action: Around the corner from Ravenscrest Park in Etobicoke, this brick residence has a single-storey set up fit for families and empty nesters, who made up most of the 50 visitors at a weekend open house. As one of only two bungalows of that vintage available prior to the March Break, it received three offers over three days.

What They Got: On a 55-by-100-foot lot on a winding street, this 1950s bungalow with an attached garage underwent makeovers inside the two bathrooms and eat-in kitchen with granite counters about a decade ago.

Public domains include living and dining areas with hardwood floors, along with a den and recreation room with a gas fireplace in the basement.

There are three bedrooms, the largest of which has a walkout to a deck, patio, gazebo and fenced yard.

The Agent's Take: "There were lots of options for this space and bungalows of this era are always a surprise with how big the extra downstairs space presents," says agent Cathy Methven. "A side entry to the finished lower level with a gas hearth and commercial wine fridge had some thinking rental potential and others thinking man-cave dream space."

The main floor is also easy to redesign, but is clean and classic. "Generous room sizes – afforded by the nice lot width – gave the home a gracious flow," Ms. Methven says.

"Hardwood floors, updated windows, including an inviting bow window with a bench in the living room, and neutral decor were popular features of this home."
