The Action: During the last week of April, this more than century-old row home in Leslieville was besieged with buyers, including nearly three dozen with private showings and over 300 attending two weekend open houses. Tours came to a halt once a bidding war broke out between five buyers.

The Agent’s Take: “It’s was a very funky row home from the 1890s that was completely renovated,” says agent Cameron Weir, who notes improvements even to often overlooked areas. “Over the last few years, the sellers completely gutted the bathrooms and added radiant floor heating and custom closets.”

As much as buyers liked its condo loft feel, its freehold status was a bigger asset. “It has land value and location, and it was so unique,” Mr. Weir added. “The backyard was set up really nicely and there was a cute little front yard as well.”
