LISTING AGENTS Cameron Weir and Scott Hanton, Keller Williams Advantage Realty

The Action: This semi-detached house is one bedroom short of the standard three popular among families house-hunting in Leslieville, plus it didn't have private parking or a finished basement so several buyers were undecided about whether to make an offer.

The first formal proposal was declined by the sellers, but they were greeted with another at a much higher price.

What They Got: This 85-year-old house is fairly classic with an open living and dining area with hardwood floors and a tiled kitchen with exposed brick accent along the peninsula and a walkout to a sky-lit laundry room and deck.

The upper level is illuminated with three skylights, including one in the master suite and largest of two bathrooms, which was updated last year.

Large quarters include a lower-level recreation room and fenced, west-facing yard on the 16-by-110-foot lot.

The Agent's Take: "It's a great location at Greenwood and Queen," agent Cameron Weir says. "It was a very large two-bedroom."

Interior features were also modest, but memorable. "It has a lot of cool, natural character, so it was different than your typical house," adds Mr. Weir, citing exposed brick in a bedroom as an example. "[Plus] it has two more skylights than our typical home, so the light was pretty good."
