LISTING AGENT Cameron Weir and Scott Hanton, Keller Williams Advantage Realty

The Action: Just a five-minute drive south of Greenwood station, this more-than-a-century-old townhouse was visited by no less than 100 potential buyers. With no inventory nearby with which compare this one to, a handful of house hunters weighed in with their best price on the offer date.

What They Got: Sandwiched between a treed street and back patio is this 1,210-square-foot, brick residence with all the basics, including one bathroom, a kitchen with a walkout and built-in appliances, including a gas stove and laundry facilities, and three upper bedrooms, including one with a balcony and another with vaulted ceilings and his and her closets.

Entertaining can take place in the living room or dining area, both with crown mouldings and hardwood floors, plus a fireside recreation room in the 187-square-foot basement, which has a front entry to the 14-by-90-foot lot.

The Agent's Take: "It's a great starter home," says agent Cameron Weir, whose team staged it to enhance its assets.

"The kitchen was nicely done and it had a cute backyard, and we put a lot of effort into the landscaping at the front – painting the porch and door with a nice orange that went with the fall colours – so the curb appeal is quite nice."

This home's modest stature also resonated with buyers with limited budgets. "It's a small, cute house in Leslieville," Mr. Weir notes. "In that area, [prices] can fly right on up to $800,000 to $900,000 for a detached home."
