The Action: In early February, this detached residence opened its doors to over two dozen potential buyers, one of whom was a local homeowner looking to purchase a larger house in the well-established North York community.

The Agent’s Take: “It’s typical for this street, which is a fairly new street created 20 years ago. But the rest of the neighbourhood [homes] are smaller than this in the 2,000 to 2,200 [square foot range],” agent Bill Thom said.
“[The buyers] liked the welcoming, open concept, two-storey foyer; the kitchen is a large size; and it has a big side yard and backyard, which is what is lacking in their current home.”
The half finished basement also had benefits. “They can finish it the way they want,” Mr. Thom said.
