The Daniels Corporation previews the final piece in its Kilgour Estate development Friday, Oct. 21.

The development, sandwiched between the Canadian National Institute for the Blind to the west and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab to the east, borders the upscale communities of Lawrence Park and Leaside. This last piece of the project, marketed as the Burkebrook Town Manors, is a collection of modern luxury townhouses designed to mimic the spaciousness of low-rise homes with the added benefit of access to the recreational conveniences common to a high-rise condominium.

Buyers can preview the townhouses today – which will be the fourth and final addition to the Kilgour Estate condominium community – before sales commence Saturday, Oct. 22.

"When you look at the whole package with the choice of designs, two-car parking garage right at your home, the additional parking availability, the use of the amenities, proximity to the ravine and walking trails … I believe us to be unique," Daniels vice president, Don Pugh says.

"It's only 21 homes, so it's fairly exclusive – our last offering – and with all the extra amenities they get to have, there's tremendous value in that."

As further incentive, the builder is already in the midst of construction on these three-storey townhouses, known as the Burkebrook Town Manors, on a pedestrian-friendly enclave within the development on Bayview Avenue, just south of Lawrence Avenue.

"We're able to offer occupancy dates within a year," Mr. Pugh says. "Outside of structural changes … within their home, they can make it what they need it to be."

Visitors can see the calibre of workmanship in five model homes and previous phases completed on the site, which includes mid-rise residences, townhouses and bungalows adjacent to the Burke Brook Ravine.

"People who chose to live in Burkebrook will have the opportunity to use the amenities in Kilgour Estates, so they can use the pool and all the amenities in the building, and of course, it's connected to walking trails and the ravine," Mr. Pugh says. "The location is awesome."

Attractions beyond the project are well established, such as the Rosedale Golf Club and The Granite Club, in addition to boutique shops and bistros on Bayview Avenue. The Don Valley Parkway and highways 401 and 404 are also easily accessible.

To give these two and three-bedroom townhouses signature style, yet complement the architecture of existing streetcapes, they will feature façades with smaller bricks, pre-cast textures and terraces with decorative railings.

Front porches, outdoor terraces and built-in garages that exit to a rear lane will also be included in each home.

"We've got double car garages, which is unique for townhomes in the city," says Mr. Pugh, who also cites extra spots in the garage of phase one. "If someone has an extra car or toy vehicle, they can have additional parking for that."

Interiors will be designed with private and open spaces, such as great rooms, formal dining spaces and eat-in kitchens.

Standard appointments will consist of nine and ten-foot ceilings, hardwood flooring, oak staircases, granite kitchen countertops and gas fireplaces.

"The designs are stunning both inside and out, and the finishes are high quality," Mr. Pugh says. "Kilgour has become synonymous with quality."

The monthly fees will be $520.
