The Action: After almost three months on the market, two open house events and a significant price reduction, this renovated two-bedroom condo with a riverside view finally found a buyer.

What They Got: The 1,110-square-foot unit on the 10th floor of the Riverside Towers building was completely gutted and refinished for open-concept living and, as the listing brochure put it, "HGTV quality appeal."

Those lush river views get maximum display through floor-to-ceiling windows. The kitchen is finished with two-tone cabinetry, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. The unit comes with underground parking and a storage locker.

The Agent's Take: This was a "move-in ready unit for any meticulous buyer," says agent Joel Gwillim. Location, size and the river view all played in its favour.

"Sales are down and listings are way up," Mr. Gwillim says. "Buyers will ultimately have more choice and likely be able to negotiate better deals. Lending rates are still very attractive, which is allowing a lot of people to enter the market, or move up."
