What They Got: What looks like a brick bungalow is actually a five-level back split built in the 1960s, but expanded over the years to provide 3,600 square feet of living space, plus an unfinished basement, attached double garage and a pool embedded in the 55-by-149-foot, pie-shaped lot.

The front hall has access to a fireside living room, an office and stairs down to a formal dining room and an eat-in kitchen with access to a patio that can also be reached via the family room. A media room is located down one level.

The top floor is allocated to three bedrooms, including one with his-and-her closets and a full bathroom, and another with a walk-in closet, rear deck and six-piece bathroom, which is the largest of four.

The Agent’s Take: “It was situated on a quiet cul-de-sac with only a few homes on it,” says agent Doris Christensen. “Most people looking at it were from around the area … [which] is well known for its schools and big yards.”

So buyers were not disappointed by the number of areas to play and entertain in there. “The pool was a big draw to that house,” Ms. Christensen states. “It felt like a resort at the back because it had multiple walkouts and it was all oriented to the gardens.”
