LISTING AGENT Jessica Lawton, Brad J. Lamb Realty Inc.

The Action: Set amidst the yacht clubs by the island airport, this urban townhouse is such a rare commodity, there were 20 visitors throughout the week and offers rolling in one after another.

The first bid fell apart and the second was finalized to the disappointment of late shoppers.

What They Got: More than a decade ago, a condominium community was built with units stacked on top of one another, like this south-facing townhouse with street-level access, three levels of living space, including a rooftop terrace, and parking in an underground garage.

The first level was designed as an open living and dining space with laminate floors, Juliet balcony and kitchen facility with stone counters and stainless steel appliances.

The second floor accommodates laundry facilities and two carpeted bedrooms, including a master suite with access to one of two bathrooms.

Monthly fees of $307 covers water costs.

The Agent's Take: "On the north side of Lake Shore, there are new condominium buildings and a few have townhouse on the bottom, but nothing right on the lake," says agent Jessica Lawton.

"You cannot get any closer to waterfront than these townhomes with the lake as your backyard, and with the rooftop patio and great layout it was a really quick sale."

Few owners also give up larger units with private rooftops like this one. "People loved it, it was a big selling feature," says Ms. Lawton.

"It's a house alternative in the downtown core, which is tough to find in that price range."
