DAYS ON THE MARKET Six

LISTING AGENTS Marlene and Sarah McLean, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.

The Action: This four-level, side-split residence near St. George’s golf course was inspected by about ten buyers. One returned with a serious proposal on the day offers could be presented.

What They Got: Nearly every floor of this more than 50-year-old residence has an area for entertaining, including a fireside living room and a Marcon kitchen that was recently opened up to the dining area and redone with Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and a walkout to a deck, in-ground pool and hot tub surrounded by fencing.

Off the foyer, there are stairs up to three bedrooms, including a master suite with a balcony and entry to one of two four-piece bathrooms, and stairs down to a family room with a gas fireplace, three-piece bathroom and sliding patio doors.

Further down in the basement, there is a fireside recreation room with above grade windows.

An attached double garage and private driveway provide four-car parking.

The Agent’s Take: “It’s in the wonderful neighbourhood of Princess Anne Manor, where there are great schools, both elementary and secondary,” says agent Marlene McLean who cites Richview Collegiate in particular. “As well, it’s a short walk to TTC and a small shopping area, Richview Plaza.”

Renovations also made the property more suitable for families.

“The house was a very spacious, three-bedroom, side split that had been added onto about ten year ago, so as a result, the master bedroom was very large and below it you had an oversized family room,” says Ms. McLean, who also heard positive feedback about its modern, open concept makeover.

“It’s spectacular for entertaining both inside the house – because of the layout of the home – and the backyard.”
