LISTING AGENT Kimmé Myles, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd., Johnston and Daniel Division

The Action: Arts and cultural professionals often gravitate toward townhouses within a small downtown row where vacancies occur once every couple of years. This prompted 30 buyers to schedule a visit and another 40 to pop into the open houses for this more-than-a-century-old property, which logged three offers on the presentation date.

What They Got: This two-storey townhouse has a fairly traditional layout with several entertaining areas, nine-foot ceilings and new maple and original oak wood floors on the main and second floors, respectively.

There is a front kitchen, open living and dining areas, plus an office and rear solarium with glass, cathedral ceilings, slate floors and French doors to the south-facing patio, fenced yard and laneway behind the 14-by-100-foot lot.

The top floor has two bedrooms and one of two bathrooms, and the lower level is untouched.

The Agent's Take: "It was a unique property: It was a small little rowhouse from 1880 on a little street called Wolseley Street at Queen and Bathurst," says agent Kimmé Myles. "It was nicely maintained and had charming features."

The sellers also made remarkable alterations. "My clients built a beautiful conservatory with a glass ceiling, so … the light was fantastic," Ms. Myles adds. "It had a gorgeous perennial garden, it was so charming that you'd never know you were right downtown."
