The buyer of the two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit is a professor who is downsizing from a home in Kerrisdale, he says.

The Realtor’s Take: “It has always been a super prestigious building,” says Watt.

“We found a sales brochure from 1949, and an apartment there would have cost $11,000, which was more than a house.

“They don’t build windows like that any more – about 30 feet of windows. You can lie on the floor and watch the fireworks in the summer.

“And the size is a proper two-bedroom size. It’s the way it should be.”
