The Action: Local waterfront residents wanting to buy a new two-bedroom-plus-den suite with unobstructed sight lines were given a dozen viable options by their agent Mara Bossio. Their favourite candidate was this corner unit in the second phase of the West Harbour City complex on the former Molson brewery site near Fort York.

What They Got: Situated on the 15th floor of a high-rise just registered last summer, this 1,385-square-foot suite has the luxury of nine-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and walls of windows throughout, plus three balconies facing the city and lake off one bedroom and the open living and dining areas off the U-shaped kitchen.

Other conveniences include a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and one of two marble bathrooms, as well as stacked laundry machines, stainless steel kitchen appliances, a storage locker and underground parking.

A monthly fee of $695 covers the expense of water, heat and amenities, from a gym, indoor pool and party room to 24-hour concierge, visitor suites and parking.

The Agent’s Take: “When searching downtown for a [roughly]1,600-square-foot, two-bedroom plus a den in a new development – with an interesting view and outdoor space – it was challenging,” says Ms. Bossio. “Interestingly, Fleet Street and Lake Shore is one of the only new developments offering the larger suites and the view while keeping the price well below $1-million.”
