Imagine treating burn patients with sheets of skin printed on demand. That's the possibility being explored at a University of Toronto lab thanks to a 3D tissue printing device. Lian Leng, the PhD student who is part of a team developing the system, says future uses could also include printing blood vessels and other bodily tissues.
