Hide the children and change the passwords: Charlie Sheen is back on Twitter and he’s taking aim at Ashton Kutcher.
Variety reports Sheen took an unprovoked poke at Kutcher, his replacement on Two And a Half Men, on Sunday night while simultaneously complimenting his former co-star, Jon Cryer.
The tweet in question: ‘hey Jon!! U r a genius!!! I effin love and MISS YOU old pal. Q; who’s your lame side-kik?”
While Sheen will never win any awards for spelling, he made some sort of effort to explain his ire in a followup tweet. Which said: “hey Ashton sorry bro all good. Now quit barfing on my old brilliant show. Remember Punk’d? how duz it feel?”
For those unfamiliar with Punk’d, it was a hidden-camera MTV reality show hosted and executive-produced by Kutcher that ran from 2003 to 2007.
And certainly this isn’t the first time Sheen has gone on Twitter to vent his spleen. Sheen also made use of social media in the wake of his noisy departure from Two And a Half Men in 2011.
In the process, Sheen set a Guinness World Record for becoming the fastest person to obtain one-million Twitter followers (it took him slightly more than one day).
Sheen was promptly replaced on the hit CBS series with a new character played by former That 70s Show fixture Kutcher, now in his third season.
But why the sudden aggression toward Kutcher? Sheen is currently employed on his FX comedy series Anger Management and he recently employed Twitter to broker a peace offering to his former sworn enemy, Two And a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre. And there’s nothing to be gained from reopening old wounds.
Then again, nobody’s expecting Charlie Sheen to start making sense.Report Typo/Error
