So, for the past week we've been debating the merits of strict immigrant/Chinese parenting styles thanks to now-infamous "Tiger Mother" Amy Chua. But Chua has nothing on some American moms.
Case in point: The cringe-worthy reality TV show which chronicles the kiddie pageant circuit, Toddlers and Tiaras.
Sure, it's easy to point out that dolling your child up in full make-up and big hair for pint-sized catwalk strutting is creepy on so many levels.
But a recent episode has been making the rounds for crossing the line into true evil. In this clip, a mom is happily presiding over her terrified daughter getting her eyebrows waxed.
The prospect of candy alleviates the child's terror for a moment. But watch as her mother drowns out her pleas for a reprieve by telling an interviewer all about how it was just a bad previous experience with too-hot wax ripping off her daughter's skin that's causing some trepidation. No biggie.
