Jesse James and Kat Von D are engaged. The pair have been dating since last summer, having gotten together shortly after James's marriage with Sandra Bullock ended after it was revealed that James had been carrying on an affair.
You might think that the end of his marriage would have made last year a bad one for James, but that’s not the way he sees it.
“You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong,” James told People Magazine. “This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend.”
James went on to praise his wife-to-be, the heavily-tattooed star of the television show L.A. Ink as an “amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs.
"I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honoured that she said ‘yes.’ Growing old with her is going to be a [expletive] blast.”
