Designers and foodies alike are drooling over a stylish new dessert cookbook by Swedish furniture maker Ikea.

The big box store, known for its Ektorp sofas and Billy bookcases, has commissioned Stockholm-based photographer Carl Kleiner to shoot the recipes for its book, "Hembakat är Bäst" or Homemade is Best.

His clean, geometric close-up shots show rectangular pats of butter, orderly lines of almonds and vanilla beans, and molded piles of sugar and flour, which are transformed into gingerbread men, currant tarts and cookies.

Word is the book isn't available in North America, but you can check out the images on Mr. Kleiner's web site.

Let's just hope Ikea's desserts aren't as frustrating to assemble as its furniture.
