Sinead O’Connor’s decision to end her latest marriage after only 16 days may have seemed rash. Now, it appears the Irish singer has come to the realization she spoke too soon.
In a series of Twitter messages, arguably revealing far too much information, Ms. O’Connor announced she and her fourth husband Barry Herridge are back together.
“Guess who had a mad love making affair with her own husband last night?” Ms. O’Connor tweeted, according to Reuters.
Using Twitter shorthand, she added: “We decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend again an stay married but we did rush so we gonna return to be friend g friend…an be sickeningly happy an go counsellin an move in in like a yr regular people…but stay married.”
(Ms. O’Connor, who reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder, has been known to disseminate erratic and sexually explicit messages via Twitter.)
Just last week, Ms. O’Connor announced on her blog that her marriage Mr. Herridge was over.
The relationship was threatened within only three hours of their Dec. 8 wedding in Las Vegas, she said, blaming people in her husband’s life for sabotaging the marriage. Chances are her dealings with those same people will be more awkward than ever now.
Although not quite so publicly, couples break up and get back together all the time.
