Why Lindsay Lohan’s new website is a good thing Add to ...

It’s about time Lindsay Lohan makes a comeback.

Come on – all of you out there who just shook your head at me. Let’s consider it at least, okay?

She’s been through a lot in the past few years. She’s lucky Amanda Bynes has had such a disastrous 2013 because that’s pretty much the only thing taking eyes off of Lohan. And – like it or not – she still has a die-hard fan base.

We loved her in Mean Girls. And remember the adorable little redhead who acted in The Parent Trap? She was good then. She can be good again.

So it is with great pleasure that I share the news (if you haven’t already heard) that Lohan has launched a brand new website .

With her name, much in the way you’d expect her to do it with lipstick on a mirror, slashed across the top of the site, it’s Lindsay Lohan in every way.

“To my fans, Welcome to my new site: Your support has been everything. I’m so excited for what’s next. All my love, Lindsay,” the homepage says.

And why shouldn’t she be excited? She’s spent some time in rehab, is starring in a new movie, and is trying out a candid approach to interviews. She deserves to be thrilled for a fresh start.

And okay, The Canyons, starring the 27-year-old and porn star James Deen, has been given a 23 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes but I read in at least one review that Lohan was the best part of the movie.

Regardless, it’s good that she’s back into acting, and moving forward.

The site includes videos (interviews, behind the scenes), Instagram photos, and Lohan’s very own style blog. Response has been positive.

Perez Hilton called the new site “Adorbz” and said he’s so proud of her. TMZ also reported that (surprisingly), while filming a scene earlier this week for Eastbound & Down, Lohan got a standing ovation.

An exclusive interview with Oprah is airing on OWN this Sunday, which O herself has said will be good. “I believe that she believes she is now ready,” she said about Lohan on Good Morning America.

“I’m my own worst enemy and I know that,” Lohan says in the preview for the show.

Lohan’s bio on her new site includes this jewel: “With every cadence and nuance in Lindsay’s career, her capacity to keep the public on its toes, guessing, and intrigued has been a key ingredient to her one-of-a-kind journey and fame. Poised for an epic return to the spotlight, undoubtedly all eyes will be locked on Lindsay.”

We’re watching, Lindsay.
