The Charles Bridge in Prague ranks number 34 in Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Colouring Book: The 100 Best Places on the Planet ... to Colour. Not simply a collection of fun destination illustrations, the book highlights what the guidebook publisher considers to be ‘the most thrilling, memorable, downright interesting places on this planet,’ ranked ‘in order of their brilliance.’ The Gothic structure – which dates back to 1357 and is famous for its 30 statues – makes the cut for still being the city’s ‘most popular thoroughfare.’ Available for purchase at indigo.ca

The Mexican city of San Miguel de Allende is the cover of Travel Between the Lines Coloring Mexico: An Adult Coloring Book for Globetrotters and Daydreamers. The publication is the result of a collaboration between two Canadian couples: Dalene and Pete Heck (hektictravels.com), who have been travelling the world continuously for nearly seven years and in 2014 were named National Geographic Travellers of the Year, and fellow nomads and bloggers Geoff and Kate Matthews (wandertooth.com). All of the featured drawings are traced, using a tablet and stylus, from photographs taken by the four friends. Available from wandertooth.com

A moose and its calf is one of the many Canadian scenes featured in Legendary Landscapes: Pocket Edition, created by Canadian artists Carrie Wong and Witek Radomski but showcasing the work of other illustrators as well. The book is a spinoff of their full-size publication Legendary Landscapes: Coloring Book Journey, which began life as a Kickstarter campaign. Other images of Canadiana found in the two books include Stanley Park totem poles, the northern lights, bison and urban Toronto. A follow-up book, Legendary Worlds, was released in March. Saint Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow is recreated by illustrator and avid traveller Steve McDonald in Fantastic Structures: A Colouring Book of Amazing Buildings Real and Imagined. The striking book is the sequel to the Ontario native’s popular Fantastic Cities. Other renowned edifices ready for his fans’ pencil crayons include Tower Bridge, Neuschwanstein Castle and the Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan. Available at indigo.ca
