The strangely perfect Chocolate Hills change colour in the sun
The Chocolate Hills are found on the island province of Bohol, in the Philippines.gregory quinion
The name comes from the brown colour the sun-burnt cogon grass takes in summer.
Bohol is also home to the tarsier, one of the smallest primates in the world. It stands just 8.5 to 16 centimetres high.
At least 1,300 individual hills cover more than 50 square kilometres.
They range in height from 30 to 90 metres.
The area was hit by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake in October 2013, but is still open for visitors.
The hills have been submitted to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
