HALF-OFF HOTELS IN BERMUDA

The buy: A variety of Bermuda hotel properties are holding a Pink Sale.

The savings: 50 per cent.

The catch: You have to book a minimum of four nights by Feb. 3 for travel through April 30.

Why it's worth it: The properties range from upscale resorts to beach clubs to harbour-front hotels, including Coco Reef Resort, Coral Beach Club, Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Fairmont Southampton Hotel, Grotto Bay Beach Hotel and Newstead Belmont Hills.

FREE NIGHTS IN ST. LUCIA

The buy: Two of the Caribbean's top hotels, Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia, have special summer promotions.

The savings: The fourth and seventh nights are free with daily room rates at Anse Chastanet starting at $386 (U.S.) in May and from $330 June through October. Rates at Jade Mountain start at $950 in July.

The catch: An 8-per-cent tax and 10-per-cent service charge are not included.

Why it's worth it: Owned by the same families, Anse Chastanet sits on a 243-hectare site on one of St. Lucia's best beaches, and Jade Mountain features suites ranging in size from 1,400 to 1,600 square feet, each with its own pool.

CLUB MED COMPANION DEAL

The buy: Club Med has special companion prices for its properties in Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico.

The savings: 50 per cent off for every second person. In mid-February, a couple can save $4,880 on a one-week holiday to Cancun Yucatan from Toronto, including return flights and all taxes for a total of $8,636.04 for two people.

The catch: You must book a seven-night package by March 5 for travel by Aug. 18.

Why it's worth it: Two resorts offer air credits ($200 from Ixtapa Pacific in Mexico and $100 to Sandpiper Bay in Florida). 45% OFF ON MAYAN RIVIERA

The buy: WestJet Vacations has a special promotion for the all-inclusive Azul Fives by Karisma resort near Playa del Carmen on Mexico's Mayan Riviera.

The savings: 45 per cent. Plus, up to two children under 12 stay and eat free during a one-week holiday in March, which leaves from Toronto and sells for $1,889 a person.

The catch: You have to book by Jan. 31 for travel through April 30.

Why it's worth it: The hotel features four restaurants, five bars and three pools as well as a Kids Club, children's pool and playground.

SAVINGS ON THE DANUBE

The buy: Scenic Tours has two early booking promotions for its eight-day Gems of the Danube cruise.

The savings: Book by Feb. 29 and your companion flies free, and receive up to $520 off a stateroom (regular fares range from $3,490 to $5,595 a person, double occupancy).

The catch: The free airfare does not include the flight taxes.

Why it’s worth it: Shore excursions at ports in Germany, Austria and Hungary are included, plus you can purchase optional tours to the medieval Czech town of Cesky Krumlov and Slovakia’s capital city of Bratislava.

SKI IN WHISTLER

The buy: Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler has a four-night ski package including a three-day Whistler Blackcomb lift pass from $223.74 a person a night including taxes and based on double occupancy.

The savings: Up to 35 per cent off, a savings of $80 dollars a night.

The catch: The full package amount, including taxes, is processed at time of booking and is non-refundable.

Why it’s worth it: Nita Lake Lodge was named by TripAdvisor as one of the Top 25 Best Hotels in Canada this year and No. 1 in Whistler. The 77-suite lodge has three restaurants that feature organic, locally sourced fare.
