Globe Photojournalists:

Globe and Mail Update

I grew up surrounded by breaking news and the smell of fresh ink. At my house the earliest edition of the paper arrived at 2am, carried home by my father when he finished his shift as a page designer at the Chilean newspaper, La Nacion.

My whole neighborhood in Santiago was built by a cooperative of newspaper workers. I never had any doubts when I chose to study photojournalism in 1990.

For the past 15 years I have worked for numerous newspapers and wire news agencies in South and Central America and North America. I have been lucky enough to cross paths with amazing photo editors and journalists who have taught me the art of delivering news under tight deadlines, with quality and accuracy in order to bring to the readers the best visual coverage possible.

In 2006 I became a staff photographer at The Globe and Mail.
