Gonna run from you

Bryan Adams is being stalked by a mother and son in London and is concerned enough to have installed a panic alarm in his house, according to newspaper accounts.

The mother and son have been following the Canadian singer since approaching him for an autograph in a restaurant, according to London's Sun newspaper. The pair, possibly from Romania, have allegedly visited Adams's home in Chelsea, southwest London.

Adams, 49, who is currently in the middle of an acoustic tour of the Western U.S., has sought police advice and had a panic alarm installed, according to the paper, which quotes a source close to the singer as saying, “They have become obsessed with Bryan, turning up at his house and stalking him everywhere. …

“He was happy to sign an autograph, but this mother and her son have become obsessed with him. He doesn't want them to get in any serious trouble, but he wants to be left alone.”

A spokeswoman for Adams declined to comment.

Adams, who was born in Kingston, Ont., and began his musical career as a teenager in Vancouver, has a house in London and another in the Caribbean. He has sold more than 65 million records and in March released his 11th studio album, titled 11, spending much of the year on the road. Last month, his (Everything I Do) I Do it For You was named the No. 1 love song in an online poll.

In the past decade, Adams has established himself as a portrait and fashion photographer, with a solo show of high-profile women, Modern Muses, at London's National Portrait Gallery this year. He has also photographed the Queen, and shot the January cover photo for the British society magazine Tatler, which features a nude shot of three rock stars' daughters – Kimberly Stewart, Leah Wood and Peaches Geldof.
