Who is Kyle Buckley? He’s a Toronto poet who will be reading at IFOA on Oct 29. He also managed to be mentioned in two blog posts yesterday. After running into him, again, tonight at the Orhan Pamuk reading, and consulting with also-present blogger Ron Nurwisah, it was decided that “Buckley” would be the official meme of IFOA 2009 coverage.
To wit, if you see Buckley at the festival, do say hello, but more importantly, blog about him, Twitter his every move, and start using “Buckley” in any sentence you can:
“Man, you’re really pulling a Buckley on that puff pastry tray.”
“The way you answered that audience question was so Buckley.”
“I’d expect that from Buckley, but not you.”
With the festival ending on Halloween, we can only hope all this hard work will result in “Buckley” costumes.
