The Giller Prize gala is the literary event of the year, a magnet for every aspiring socialite in Canada's largest city and the one evening when writers can pretend to be fashionable. And like all good award shows, its result will be a complete mystery up until the very end -- toward 10 p.m. this evening -- when founder Jack Rabinovitch opens the envelope that reveals the winner. Join in as novelists Annabel Lyon, Linden MacIntyre, Colin McAdam, Kim Echlin and Anne Michaels compete genteely for bragging rights -- and $50,000 -- in the literary bullpen.
