WORST: JULIETTE LEWIS.
Not many leading ladies will wear pants on the red carpet but Juliette Lewis (who has a role in Whip It!) has never been a conforming type of chick. Theoretically, the outfit should work; it’s black and dressy enough. But the pants are pulling, the chapeau is unnecessary and the boots don’t do her legs any favours. And yet she probably thinks she looks really hot. Where’s celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe when we really need her?

The Top 10 stars

Who's the hottest star destined to walk the red carpet? The Globe's festival party hopper Amy Verner ranks this year's celebrities

Oprah Winfrey, the icon of influence, the grande dame of yo-yo dieting, the former actor-turned-media mogul will be breezing through Toronto to promote Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire, a film she helped produce based on the book. But aside from the head-scratcher that is Mariah Carey’s acting role (memories of Glitter), some more pressing questions remain: Will Ms. O make time to appear on local morning shows? Will she bring her entourage of life coaches? Will she be swarmed by paparazzi while holding a Tim’s or a Starbucks? Will she give everyone in the audience a new car?
