Who will carry on Hugh Hefner's legacy?

It’s safe to say that a large part of what Hugh Hefner’s fans admire about him is his vitality. The energy with which Hef continues to pursue his bon vivant lifestyle, even into his 80s, is infectious.

Hefner was in town Saturday for the world premiere of a new documentary about his life by Brigitte Berman, entitled Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel.

The duo hosted a Q&A session after the film, which frankly could have gone better, with Hefner professing not to understand several of the questions. But when, in the midst of asking who Hef thought would carry on his legacy, the last questioner suggested that realistically he might not be long of this world, she was greeted with a chorus of boos from a mostly adoring crowd.

“Incidentally, my mother lived to 101, so...” Hef replied gracefully.
