A New Democrat government would not hold a referendum on the Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion but they would conduct a review of the BC Rail sale and the criminal charges that resulted.
During a live call-in show on Vancouver radio station CKNW, NDP Leader Adrian Dix was questioned about everything from the cost of his platform, budget deficits and his stance on oil pipelines, to education and health care.
Dix says there are still unanswered questions about the BC Rail sale itself and the trial of two former Liberal government aides whose legal fees were paid by government after a guilty plea.
He also defended his platform and the potential three-year budget deficit, saying that the spending plans are actually the smallest platform the NDP has proposed in three elections because of tough economic times.
Dix released his platform in its entirety on Wednesday, outlining $2-billion in revenues over three years to fund welfare, education and health-care reforms.
The New Democrat Leader is making appearances on several ethnic radio stations today, ahead of a live radio debate scheduled on Friday morning.
